Overview

GEO is a downloadable app for your phones/tablets that gives you about 90% of your BuildingLink functionality while you are on the go!  Ideal for busy managers, or mobile staff like maintenance and security.  GEO is a free download for both Apple and Android devices and uses the same credentials that you use to log in to your BuildingLink system.

Downloading the App


To download the GEO, go to the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and search for Buildinglink. Select the App called "GEO by BuildingLink.com." (Click Here for IOS -- Click Here for Android)

There are multiple BuildingLink Apps available for download. Be sure to download "GEO by BuildingLink", which is easily mistaken for the BuildingLink Valet and BuildingLink apps.

General App Troubleshooting Steps


Confirm that you are connected to the internet

Normally connectivity to the internet is achieved via WiFi or Cellular. Check your phone's status bar and phone's settings menu to confirm your connectivity. 

Note: You can still use the App while not connected, but the system will not be updated until you are connected to the internet once again.


Disconnect and reconnect from the internet

To force your phone to disconnect, put your phone in an airplane mode. Wait 30 seconds or so, then turn off airplane mode. Your cellular and/or WiFi connections will be reestablished shortly after. 


Force a Sync

You can attempt to force a sync by tapping the sync button in the upper right corner. 




Update the App

Navigate to the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and search for Buildinglink. Select the App called "GEO by BuildingLink.com." (Click Here for IOS -- Click Here for Android)

If your app requires an update, you will find an UPDATE button on the app store page. 



If no update is required, you should see Open or Installed


Hard quit the App

On Android: Swipe up from the bottom, hold, then let go. Swipe up on the app.

On Apple: Open the App Switcher (unique to each device), swipe right to find the app, then swipe up (away) on the app.


Open the App again and check to see if the problem is resolved.


Logout and Hard Quit the App

Please note that logging out will clear all unsynced data. 


Uninstall and Reinstall the App 

On Android: Open the Google Play Store app. At the top right, tap the Profile icon. Tap Manage apps & devices. Manage. Tap the name of the app you want to delete. Tap Uninstall.

On Apple: Delete an app from App Library and Home Screen: Touch and hold the app in App Library, tap Delete App, then tap Delete.
