OverviewPet Registry allows managers to keep a searchable database of approved pets -- complete with photos, bios, and birthdays! Depending on your building's settings, residents can also submit pets for management approval. While pets added to Pet Park are viewable by all residents, pets added to Pet Registry are only viewable by management (as well as by the residents of the unit to which the pet is registered, depending on your building's settings.) |

General Pet Registry Settings
To enable Pet Registry, please contact BuildingLink Support ([email protected]). You'll be able to decide whether you'd like to allow residents to submit pets to the registry for management approval, or whether you'd like to make the module completely internal. Regardless of your settings choices, residents will never be able to view pets that are registered for other units - they will only be able to submit and view their own pets. If you choose to set the module to internal, residents will not be able to submit or view their own pets.
Registering a Pet (Management-Perspective)
To register a pet, you must have a management or security-officer authority level within BuildingLink. Click on the Manage tab and select Pet Registry. (If you do not see this option, please contact BuildingLink Support so we can activate the module for you.) Next, click on the green Add Pet button.
You'll be able to enter the Unit #, Pet Name, Pet Type, Breed, and Birth Date. You can also enter a pet bio, or any additional information you may need to track, in the About field
To upload a photo of the pet, click the Upload File button in the section Pet's Photo and choose the appropriate file from your computer. When the photo is successfully uploaded, you will see a preview image.
For status, be sure to choose the Accepted option if you wish to record that the pet is approved. Click the green Add Pet button to register the pet.
Pets can also be registered via each apartment's Unit Overview page, accessed by entering a specific unit number in the Quick Search field at the top left of any screen. In the Pets in Registry shortcut menu on the right, click Add New:
Registering a Pet (Resident-Perspective)
Depending on your building's settings, residents may also be able to submit pets to the Pet Registry for management to either accept or remove. From the Resident Homepage, the resident will be able to click the Edit Profile tab and select Pet Registry. Next, they'll hit the green Add a Pet button. Residents will be able to enter the Pet Name, Type, Breed, and Birth Date. They will also be able to upload a photo of the pet and fill in any additional information using the About field.
Once the pet is approved by management, residents will no longer be able to edit information for that pet or remove the pet. These changes must be done by management.
