When a resident is added to the BuildingLink system a profile is created for them along with a username and password.
If you have Security Officer, or Management level access to the system, you can retrieve the credentials for your residents. A resident may also retrieve their credentials and reset their password using the Forgot Password button on the login page.
You are only able to retrieve your resident’s BuildingLink credentials from the web based Staff Portal.
The BuildingLink GEO app does not currently have access to resident credentials.
On the web based Staff Portal
- Use the Quick Search to enter the resident’s first/last name, or unit number
- Select the Unit to load the Unit Profile page
- Click on the Occupants tab
- There, you will have the ability to choose to Print Login Info, or Email Login Info
Note: You will only be able to Email Login Info, if the resident has a valid email address in their profile.
Clicking on Print Login Info or Email Login Info will display the resident login credentials (username and password) along with the BuildingLink Welcome Letter text.
Note: If the resident has already logged in or changed their default password, the BuildingLink system will prompt you to reset their password to an automatically generated password to allow them immediate access. When the resident logs in the are able to change their password through the My Profile button on the Resident site.
