    Overview

    BuildingLink does not allow multiple tabs to open in the same browser window. However,  there are several ways to work around this in Microsoft Edge and Chrome.  If you are still having issues after trying the solutions below, please contact BuildingLink Support.

    Different Profiles in Microsoft Edge


    Microsoft Edge lets you create different profiles within the same browser, which will allow you to have multiple BuildingLink windows open on your computer. 

    To add different profiles in Microsoft Edge, go to the upper-right corner of your browser window and select the icon representing your current profile. It may look like a blank silhouette, a letter, or a custom image you've already added. 

    Selecting this icon will open a drop-down menu. From the drop-down, select Setup New Personal Profile, then click on Start without your data.



     Next, click Confirm and start browsing.  




     Click Next.


     


    Click Finish.


    Finally, enter your Buildinglink URL. You will also notice on your Windows taskbar below that there are now two Edge icons, each representing a separate profile.



    Private Mode in Microsoft Edge

    Microsoft Edge also lets you open an extra browser in InPrivate mode, which allows you to have multiple BuildingLink windows open on your computer. To open a browser in Private Mode in Microsoft Edge, go to the upper-right corner of your browser window and select the Settings button (three dots).



    Click New InPrivate Window.



    Type in your Buildinglink URL.


     

    Different Profiles in Google Chrome

    Google Chrome lets you create different profiles within the same browser, which allows you to have multiple Buildinglink sessions open on your computer.

    To add a new profile to Google Chrome on your computer, open Chrome, select Profile at the top right, and then  Add profile.


    Profile and then Add Chrome profile.



    Click Continue without an account.


    Choose a name, photo, and color scheme. Click Done.



    Enter your Buildinglink URL.



    You will notice on your Windows taskbar below that there are now two Chrome icons. Each icon represents a separate profile.




    Incognito Mode in Google Chrome


    Google Chrome lets you open an extra browser in Incognito mode, which allows you to have multiple BuildingLink windows open on your computer.


    To open an Incognito web browser on your computer, open Google Chrome and go to the upper-right corner of your browser window to select the Settings button (three dots).



    Click New Incognito Window.


    Type in your Buildinglink URL.
