Overview

ConciergeLink is a powerful console and database that can be installed on any Windows computer (it works especially well with a touch screen!). Once installed, the program allows staff to handle the bulk of their front desk operations without an internet connection, bullet-proofing the front desk from Internet interruptions or slow speeds.

ConciergeLink handles internet connectivity and database syncing in the background. It will sync to the web version of BuildingLink when connectivity is restored and you log in again - or, if there is an active internet connection during use, every 30 minutes.

Please see the help page for Installing ConciergeLink for instructions on installation. If you experience any difficulties or would like to provide feedback, please contact BuildingLink Support.

Functionality

The Quick Search works the same way as the Quick Search option in the web version of BuildingLink; it quickly allows you to view the Unit Overview for any particular unit by typing in the resident's name or unit number.

The Add button is exclusive to ConciergeLink and allows you to quickly add an event, instruction, maintenance request, shift log note, or amenity reservation from any screen.

Creating Your Login PIN

When you don't have an internet connection, you won’t be able to use your username and password to log in, but you can use a previously enrolled fingerprint or a previously configured username and PIN code.

ConciergeLink will prompt you to create a PIN the first time you log in, or if no PIN is saved to your user account. Your PIN must be six numbers only; the app does not allow you to enter letters or other digits. Once you enter and confirm the PIN, you will get a confirmation message.

You will be prompted to reset your PIN every 6 months, but you can reset it at anytime by going to your profile and selecting Reset PIN.

As soon as you perform an action in ConciergeLink, that action will immediately be reflected in the web version of BuildingLink. Actions performed via the web version of BuildingLink will be reflected in ConciergeLink every time ConciergeLink syncs (every 30 minutes, or every time a new user logs in). If you know that actions were performed via the web version of BuildingLink, you can also use the Sync button to manually sync ConciergeLink so that all of the information is current.
