Overview
As a Management or Security Officer user, you can customize the appearance of the resident site by choosing from theme templates, editing existing themes and layouts, or even creating your own.

Changing Theme Designs
If you want to change the theme of the Resident Portal, click on the Resident site tab on the left side of your screen. Then, select View resident site. Click Continue to access the Resident Portal, which will appear as a new tab on your browser.
At the top right of the resident home page, click Theme designer. When the Theme Designer opens, click on the Themes dropdown menu to view a list of available themes you can apply to your Resident Portal. Selecting a theme will automatically display its preview.
Once you find a theme you like, click Activate. Then, click Activate on the new confirmation window to enable your selected theme. You can change themes as often as you like.
Creating and Customizing a New Theme
To create a new theme for your resident site, go to the Resident site tab on the left side of your screen, then select View resident site. Click Continue to access the Resident Portal, and at the top right of the resident home page, click Theme designer, then click Create new theme.
Next, type a name for your theme in the Create new theme window. Click Save to finalize the name. After you have named your new theme, you can customize it by clicking Customize.
The following theme options are available for customization. You can click on each dropdown menu to expand the selection for them:
- Typography: Allows you to set what font family you want to use for your Resident Portal.
- Background: Allows you to set a background color or upload your own background image.
- Colors: Allows you to set color preferences for your dashboard headers, text, module backgrounds, and dashboard icons.
When you have finished customizing your theme, click Save theme.
Note: Your theme details can be edited by clicking on the dropdown arrow of the Customize button and selecting Edit theme details. If you want to delete a theme, click Delete theme instead.
Reconfiguring the Resident Dashboard
To adjust modules on your resident dashboard, go to the Resident site tab on the left side of your screen, then select View resident site. Click Continue to access the Resident Portal, and at the top right of the resident home page, click Theme designer, then click Reconfigure dashboard.
You will now be able to change the placements of your modules via drag and drop placement. Once you've customized your dashboard to your liking, click Save changes to finalize your edits.
