Overview
As a Management or Security Officer user, you can customize the appearance of the resident site by choosing from theme templates, editing existing themes and layouts, or even creating your own. In addition to the features covered in this article, you can also create Resident Site Custom Links, add Image-Based Announcements, and update the Building Image in the website banner.

Creating a New Theme
You can create a new theme by going to the Resident site tab on the left side of your screen, then selecting View resident site. Click Continue to access the Resident Portal, and at the top right of the resident home page, click Theme designer, then click Create new theme.
Type a name for your theme in the Create new theme window, then click Save to finalize the name.
Next, the following theme options will be available for customization on the far left side of your screen. You can click on each dropdown menu to expand the selection for them:
- Typography: Allows you to set what font family you want to use for your Resident Portal.
- Background: Allows you to set a background color or upload your own background image.
- Colors: Allows you to set color preferences for your dashboard headers, text, module backgrounds, and dashboard icons.
When you have finished customizing your theme, click Save theme.
Once you've saved your theme, click Use this theme to select it. Then, click Use this theme on the new confirmation window to enable your selected theme.
Note: You can change the name of the theme by clicking on the dropdown arrow of the Customize button and selecting Edit theme details. If you want to delete a theme, click Delete theme instead.
Changing Theme Designs
If you want to change the theme of the Resident Portal, click on the Resident site tab on the left side of your screen. Then, select View resident site. Click Continue to access the Resident Portal, which will appear as a new tab in your browser.
At the top right of the resident home page, click Theme designer. When the Theme Designer opens, click on the Preview theme dropdown menu to view a list of available themes you can apply to your Resident Portal. Selecting a theme will automatically display its preview.
Once you find a theme you like, click Use this theme. Then, click Use this theme on the new confirmation window to enable your selected theme. To make changes to your newly selected theme, click Customize (see the section above for details on customization options). You can change themes as often as you like.
Rearranging the Resident Dashboard
To adjust modules on your resident dashboard, go to the Resident site tab on the left side of your screen, then select View resident site. Click Continue to access the Resident Portal, and at the top right of the resident home page, click Theme designer, then click Rearrange dashboard.
You can now change the placement of your modules and the buttons in the Shortcuts Widgets via drag-and-drop. Once you've customized your dashboard to your liking, click Save dashboard to finalize your edits.
To undo all your changes, click on the dropdown arrow of the Save dashboard button and click Revert to default.
