Overview
There are times where a key will not be detected when placed into a slot. This can be because the key wasn’t fully inserted into the slot, the slot did not read the key correctly, or a few other reasons. To ensure a key is returned properly listen for the audible beep and check the screen to ensure it reports that a key was returned. Below are instructions on how to locate missing keys.
To find a missing key, open the drawer by clicking on the drawer’s icon on the left side of the screen (if you have multiple drawers select the drawer you would like to open). Authenticate with your login or fingerprint.
Open the drawer, on the screen you will see a button to light up All Keys in the system, as well as a button to light up all Empty Slots.
If you click the All Keys button in the system, then any keys that do not light up during that test are not being detected and may be the missing keys you are searching for.
If you click the Empty Slots button, then the undetected keys will light up as the slots they are in are considered empty.
