Overview

Our email templates functionality allows you to customize the look and feel of the emails sent through our Send Email tool. You can upload logos, change colors, add social media icons, and more.

Locating Templates


Navigate to the Communicate tab and select Send Email. Click the green Compose button, located in the top left.




In the new email window, click the blue text for Templates and choose Use an email template.If you don't yet have any saved templates in the My building templates tab, click on the Template library tab, or click the blue Browse template library button to select an email design template.




In the Template library tab, select a template by clicking the blue Use template button, directly under the template you wish to use.



In the My content tab, you will see any templates you previously saved for your user in the My templates section of the old Send Email Module. 




Setting Default Templates


The My building templates tab shows saved templates for the building. Select a template by clicking the blue Use template button directly under the template you wish to use. 

If you wish to set a default template -- meaning the template will be preselected for you whenever you send an email, click the Default checkbox under the chosen template. 


 


Editing and Saving Templates


From either the My building templates tab, or from the Template library tab, click the blue Use template button under the template you wish to use.  This will open the template in a new email window and allow you to view and, if you wish, to edit the template.



With the Design template open, edits can be made to images, to the font and text size.  In addition, weblinks and tables can be added, and variables can be inserted to display select information, such as the building name, resident first name, and today's date.




In the example below, several variables are used in an email template for the building's Pet Policy: Building Name; Today's Date; Resident First Name.




To preview the design template, click the blue Preview text.  To save changes, click the blue Templates text and select Save as a template.  



Next name your new template and choose whether to save this as a personal template or as a shared template. Personal templates with be stored in the My content tab and Shared templates will be stored in the My building templates tab.
