Overview

The occupant mailing labels section allows you to generate and print mailing labels for occupants in the BuildingLink database (Ex. offsite owners).

Generating & Printing Occupant Mailing Labels

Click on the Other tab and select ID Cards and LabelsNext, choose Occupant Mailing Labels. You'll be prompted to select the users for whom you wish to print mailing labels. Note that you can choose specific occupant types if you have them defined. The "Current Resident Filter" allows you to further narrow your selection by enabling you to choose to print for only current residents (First-level occupants with second-level occupants will be excluded, since the system assumes they are offsite) OR to print for only offsite occupants. Finally, you can choose to narrow your selection even further by choosing to print only for those occupants who don't have emails in the system, or only for units where nobody has an email address. If you wish to print a label for units where no occupants are defined, select the Print a Label for Active Units with No Occupants option.

Next, select a label size and note the corresponding recommended paper.

Finally, choose the fields you'd like to include on the mailing label and be sure to tell BuildingLink how you'd like alternate mailing addresses to be handled! (You can choose to always use the alternate mailing address if one is defined, never use the alternate mailing address, or use the alternate mailing address if it is flagged, meaning if the "Use this address when printing mailing labels" checkbox next to the alternate address field is selected.)

Next, select the number of labels you'd like to print for each unit and the order in which you'd like them displayed. When you are finished customizing your mailing labels, simply click the Generate PDF button and you are ready to print. You can also export your labels to Excel.
